Views of Thursley Village Introduction Taken in August 2004 the photographs on this page are of Thursley Village, which lies deep in the English County of Surrey. The village has changed little since Tweedsmuir Camp was constructed in 1941. Before being renamed 'Tweedsmuir' in June 1941, the camp was known as Thursley Camp or, as sometimes referred to by Canadian authorities at the time, "Camp Thursley".
