History tasks for primary and secondary school children

A Displaced Polish Community in Surrey after the Second World War

To the teacher

Here you will find educational resources that are free to download for your class. The tasks are set within the context of the materials collated for the Tweedsmuir Military Camp website and the Tweedsmuir Camp Exhibition. We have endeavoured to design cross-curricular tasks that enable pupils to develop their skills in information processing, reasoning, enquiry, creative thinking and evaluation.

To the pupil

You are free to download any information from this website that will help you with your learning about World War Two history. The tasks have been designed to help you communicate about the past, using this website as an online resource. Of course, you may need to seek information elsewhere. If you do, please remember that the work on other websites belongs to someone else and may not be free for you to download.

Good luck with your chosen task.
