What's New

The original historical accounts that you may have visited in the past are still present but organised differently.

If you wish to read the history of Tweedsmuir Military Camp, please go directly to the Archives link. Please note, however, that the 'Background History' on the front page of the original website now has its own link in the main menu above.

Alternatively you may wish to read the script below, which provides brief information about each of the sections on this website.

Current Projects

We have always endeavoured to develop and update our website as new information and ideas come to the fore. The links under this heading provide an illustration of on-going work as well as the tasks we have completed to date. Needless to add, this section of our website will continue to evolve with time.

You may like to access this link to read about our new and exciting Lottery funded Tweedsmuir Camp Exhibition at the Rural Life Centre, which, with the help of volunteers, is continuing to evolve into a permanent 'three dimensional history' of Tweedsmuir Camp.
Click the Current Projects link for more information.

Tweedsmuir Camp Archives

The Archives contain the work completed for the original Tweedsmuir Military Camp website. Its content is designed to give readers a comprehensive understanding of the site upon which Tweedsmuir Camp was built as well as a thorough understanding of Tweedsmuir Camp as it existed before, during and immediately after World War Two.

External Links

These will take you to sites that will place this website into context and add to your understanding of Tweedsmuir Camp as an indispensable Second World War necessity.
